Ive got the warn 8000

so far can't say a bad thing about it and its pulled me and my friends out of some bad situations in snow, covered in mud, while raining and didnt miss a beat.

i love the thing, 3 days ago it actually pulled me and me buddy's ford f150, and my other friends grand cherokee out of some deep snow/mud. otherwise we might have spent a very cold night together alone in the woods.

I have a smittybilt XRC10 and have used it plenty with good results. I have been really happy with it.

My dad has a Warn M800 and is very happy with that as well.

Dont forget to budget for proper recovery gear as well such as a good snatch block (ARB), D rings, tree savers, and tow straps !

I have read a lot of reviews. And asked people I trust about winches. I have decided to go with a Superwinch Epi9.0 S.

A synthetic line is important to me. The Epi 9.0s comes with an integrated solenoid and an external brake to keep it from getting too hot.

I was looking at this one also, where are you getting it from and what bumper are you using... I got the RR XHD.. but have read that it might take mods to the bumper which I don't want to do..

I just bought it like 5 minutes ago.

http://www.amazon.com/Superwinch-090.../dp/B0016J9U00

only 1 left now. I have been eyeing it for a few months. and this is the cheapest i have seen it. Its been anywhere from $720-$800+
never seen it at 650. so i pulled the trigger.

I have a benchmark elite front bumper/ winch plate. I dont know about any other bumpers.

Good luck with you choice!
I did the same, the winch arrived in ONE day via UPS ground.

My total was slightly more due to CA state tax
