Winch Suggestions
You might want to consider how often you plan to winch. I've use every winch I've owned, but as I'm not "hardcore" it's somewhat rare. An entry-level Warn M8000 always did me just fine.
I got a recon and the wireless didnt work. They sent me out a new wireless modual. Had to tear it apart and it still didnt work. The truck n winch said they sent me a wrong wiring diagram. had to open her up again. now nothing works on the recon. Took it off and now waiting to hear back from them
I've owned six wranglers and several different brands/models of winches.
I currently run a Powerplant. I'm quite happy with it but I run ARBs and have a separate compressor to run them. I use the Powerplant for airing up. The downside is cost. I paid about 1200 for mine but they are more now.
I've also owned T-max, Ramsey, Warn and Smittybilt. In general the cheaper a winch is the slower the recovery. Usually speed isn't a problem in recoveries. I've winched a lot and never had one of any brand fail on me. Of. All basic winches I liked my Tmax best but that's just based on my experience.
Most anything will work as a basic winch. You me to decide if you want a compressor too.

All depends if fast winch speed is what you desire.
I run the power plant and like it a lot
It's not only a fast recovery speed
the air system is as fast and faster than majority of the on board air systems out there

the biggest thing with line speed is total recovery time. While actually winching the vehicle, the time might be about the same, since you will want to winch carefully. It's more the time to let the line out, and then to spool it back in that the line speed seems to have a huge impact.
