Eh, it is no different than trying to see out the tinted back window with the sunrider open. If you can see in the dark normally, it isn't that bad.
But then again, everyone here complains about the headlights being too dim too, because I can see just fine with them.

You Can See A Couple Pics From My Link Below.
Are you sure you have 5% on the drivers side window? That should be almost blacked out and in one photo you can fairly easily see inside. The tint I got to match my factory tint on the back windows looks to be darker than that, but it could just be a flash, causing the tint to appear more translucent.

28% is legal maximum for a number of states.

we cant tint the front side windows at all in the great state of NY....

My old Acura had 5% all around, but I was always afraid of having one 2 many beers in me and getting pulled over for tint and being F'd..
The JK will have nothing other than the factory deep tint

We arent supposed to in Michigan either.
I have had them on my last 3 trucks with no problems.
I do not go too dark on the front (too dark and you cant
see at night anyway) and I also always get the tinted wind
deflectors...
I know this sounds stupid but I think i get away with it as
they see those and just think the windows are darker due to
a shadow from those??? Only thing that would make sense
to me as I know people who get pulled over all the time for them
here in Michigan, surely I cant just be that lucky haha

Here in FL tinting seems to be mandatory...

Locally, tinting two windows with film is about $60. Add the windshield top for another $20.

20 on the front matches the factory rear, it is illegal in Texas. Tint guys will still do it,
my guy wanted cash and wouldn't give me a receipt. It is sometimes hard to see at
night, just roll down the window real quick.

Talked to a cop once, he said if I ever get pulled over roll all the windows down quick,
that's the reason it's illegal, no cops want to walk up to a blacked out vehicle,
especially at night.
