I got my front two windows tinted to match the factory rear and soft top windows. I got 15% and they match extremely closely. It cost me $100 bucks for both front windows and I haven't been pulled over yet.

 

I went legal limit all the way around.
In Arizona it drops the cab temp. maybe 15f which is totally required when you drive around in hells kitchen eh?
With sun glasses (also required) I don't even see the cops in my rear view which is an additional benifit. especially at night....
In Arizona the front windows can only get 35% tinting but the cut in UV heat is way way worth it anyway tho I would preferr the 85% limo tint as in the back.

Get the best quality tint you can afford! metalized life time type.
The rest will end up bubbling fading or turning purple and get real ugly.

 

I bought some 20% off of eBay (elitetint is the handle). It was like $5 for pre-cut film and was very easy to put on following their instructions. I did take the door panels off and the weather stripping which was easy to put back on. I spent like an hour doing it and I have never done tint before.

Love it and it matches the rear windows perfectly.

 

when i get my windows tinted im gonna stop by the tint place take off and leave my doors there. then drive off and see the blank look on the guys face.

Can somebody explain more about the tinting options (types, not level of darkness)?
I remember years ago seeing purple, peeling tint on cars all over the place. Does it still turn to crap and fall apart like that or has tinting technology changed?

 

3M tint. Use nothing else. Bubbling and peeling is from cheap tint. Find a reputable
shop, make sure they use quality tint. Also, there is a bit of skill involved in being a
good tint guy, again, find a quality shop.

I got 5% all the way around on my SRT-4. I just pay the tickets, i get about 2 every year. Its worth it when you consider you gen get some booty in your car anytime, anywhere, even mid day in a wal mart parking lot on a saturday. Just put up the sun blocker thing in the windshield and your good to go. Im trying to get a hardtop, iv taken the back seat out so its gonna be fun.

 

do newer JK's come with an all around tint stock now? Cause driving around my area (Chicago) I've seen 3 JK unlimiteds (a rescue green, a black and silver one) with tints on all their door windows and a lighter tint on their front window. Me likey the tint...too bad i'm broke as a joke.
