XHD bumper install - sag info
Just finished installing bumper with full width regular end caps on JKU.
When trying to figure out what I was going to do with the Jeep one thing I wanted to know was how much sag I would get with new bumpers.
So for anyone wanting the info here you go.
Using this diagram from the 'stock spring' thread my stock measurement was 9.25". After the bumper was on it dropped to 9.0". Setting the winch on took it down to 8.75". So all in all I will lose half an inch.
Front springs are ....316AC

If your not planning on doing a lift anytime soon, find you some used 18's (probably on The Billboard Forum) & swap out the 16's. You'll gain at least 1/2 an inch.

I would actually like to get the half inch back and maybe a little more. Maybe an inch over the stock height or something in that range. But for now it will need to stay as it is. Always something to look forward to...

Ok, adding info so it can be searched.
Smittybuilt Atlas rear bumper install - bumper sag info.
After the install I lost about 5/8 or maybe 3/4" in the rear. It is quite heavy.
Rear springs are 458AA
For what it's worth, I added an extra washer to the striker pin and the latch has been holding fine. Haven't had any issues with it.

Update after a year:
Springs sagged a little more so it was time for an upgrade.
I added 900XL shocks and synergy 1" coils with an extra 1/2" spacer for the rear.
Couldn't be happier. The springs handle the weight much better. The ride is night and day different. Also a big thumbs up for the shocks - sweet.
A big thanks to vendor XTRyan for setting me up.
Here are lift numbers.
I'll add pics in next post so app doesn't crash again.
