at only 2.5", I bet you could run the factory rack arm for a short while. mabe not, I am not sure. It really depends on how much height you have up there. Most people with 2-2.5" BB lifts do not run track arms. You could run it for a short while, at least until you get new bushings for the adjustable. If no DW happens with factory track arm in place then you know the problem. If it continues to happen, keep looking. Good luck man!!!

When was the last time you had all the tires balanced? Before your last wheeling trip or after? If you threw one out back I bet you threw one in front too. I've lost weights big and small before. The worst was a small weight and I had "Wobble from Hell" at low speeds to high speeds. I thought the whole front end was going to blow apart. If you haven't checked the balance of all 4 tires then I would bet you threw a weight.

hey guys should have posted this sooner, had the jeep in to get looked at after an accident about 3 1/2 weeks back, nothing serious but i wanted to make sure the alignment and all that was ok and everything, no broken parts etc. guys called me back and told be everything was straight, nothing bent or anything like that but, and i don't know why i didn't notice this my self, all of my ball joints were toast and the steering stabilizer was blow. after having everything replaced, drag link, tie rod etc... no more DW. checked my trackbar and it was seated properly and torqued corectly. since getting it back ive had no issues and i have tried hard to make it freak on me at know places that it would always happen and i got nada.

moral of the story everyone. check your ball joints!!! its common for them to blow at or soon after 15K mi, i had over 32K on mine.

gladly...

the flexible parts on the ends of the drag link and tie rod is the ball joint (where they connect to the axle/ axle C) unfortunately our JKs ball joints are un-serviceable which means the entire component needs to be replaced when the ball joint finally dies, or atleast untill one our our many genious vendors whips up and aftermarket one with serviceable joints.

also the swaybar links (non rubi) have ball joints in them as well but these are not under the same stresses the above 2 componants are, thus they last alot longer

i thought that the ball joints were at the top and bottom of the knuckles and the other parts are just called tie rod ends
