^ I know he gets it and forgets all about the people who kept him sane while he waited.......

In other news, I found a few trails on my way home today in Westchester on rte.16. I am going to call the D.E.P in the morning to see what the deal is with them. One was hunting grounds but in ct. there is no hunting on sundays and it's not hunting season so I was fine. They weren't kick ass hope I can make it home trails but were sunday drive dirt road fun. I didn't go to deep because I was alone and it looked like rain. When I talk to the d.e.p I will see if they have a map and if it's worth doing a meet there. Also there were a few state parks so we could do a trail run, cook out lunch and then trail run again and if we really wanted to even camp. I will dig around to find more tonight online, If I find out anything else good or bad I will post it up.

Cool - thanks for doing some digging. I've been trying to locate some good sites in-state for trail rides for our get-together later this year, but haven't found anywhere great yet. I heard (this was awhile back) that there are some good areas around Bear Mountain, but I don't know firsthand... I think it's private property, but that the owner pretty much lets people enjoy the mountain as long as they're responsible. Might be worth looking into...

Now, now....You guys gotta cut dkooz a break. He's got a new toy to distract him from the computer.
He'll be back soon. Give him a chance to play.

Well I picked it up Saturday afternoon. It was definitely worth the wait
I was going to go somewhere near th Ct. River, but I think the water ia a little to high Sunday I installed the AEM cold air intake, and went to one of my fish'n holes. Some weeler's have been out there, and trashed the place. Looks like that will be the next place to be closed Other wise the jeep rides great

OK - so now that most of us CT folks have our JKs, could everyone start putting a little thought into where we could meet later this year for a meet and greet, and do a little wheelin' without getting slapped with trespassing fines? You don't need to post all the specifics up here (if you have a local spot and you're concerned about it being abused, I totally understand - I wouldn't want someone trashing the few tiny places available to me!). Just hoping that we can find somewhere cool.

I know that most (if not all) of the CT-based Jeep clubs use private land with permission, but to the best of my knowledge, none of us has that privledge... Thoughts? I'm looking forward to meeting all of you guys and having a cool day in the sun!

CT bros -

This poor guy (skibum) has been having terrible troubles with his JK, and can't find any decent dealers in his neck of the woods, but is in CT sometimes on business... can anyone recommend a good dealer in CT for repair work for this guy? See this thread.

Hey there MJS, I've noticed that you're on here sooo much and you have a TON of posts....I wouldn't be surprised if WayOfLife were to ask you if you would be a Moderator sometime in the near future.

On another note...I've been thinking about places that we all could meet up sometime this summer. I haven't found a cool place yet, but it's always in the back of my mind while I'm traveling.
Anyone else find someplace yet? Or at least find a cool place to go wheelin' in their area?
Just wonderin'.
