I work for otis elevator full time Its a really sweet place, UTC owns them so we get all the benefits. They pay for my school while giving me 3 hours off a week to do school work (paid) health and dental (expensive but awesome.) Amazing pay for a high school diploma but that should change in the next year, They will be training me on becoming a mechanic, which is union and makes more then any right out of college job I have herd of but is extremely hard to get into. Really have to know people type and be well liked within the company. Oh and did I mention I live at home? My parents are awesome and I have no reason to move until I buy a condo with my girlfriend/by this point she'll have a ring. (ring money went to bike, shhhhh don't tell. )

Chopper, Red Rubi:

Where are you guys? Long time no posts on our thread!

Red Rubi: How's the leg healing? How much longer until you can ditch the crutches?

Chopper: With gas prices being what they are, have you busted out the bike yet as your DD?

The leg is doing great. Ditched the soft boot cast in favor of a normal shoe as of last friday. I'm walking around with 1 crutch, sometimes none. I just have to be real sure footed when I'm walking, but I can drive my Jk now. Going in for surgery on Friday to get the hardware removed. Now that it's fishing season and the weather is getting better, I'd rather be staring across a lake or down a river than at a computer screen. It looks like your parts a arriving MJS, when's the Eta on the finished product. It must be killing you to stare at those parts in the garage.

Glad to hear that you're healing up good!

Yeah, I can't wait to get all the parts on. I'm still waiting on the lift, and once I have that in hand, I'll get moving on all the installation... I just keep telling myself that patience is a virtue.

I didn't even know I needed glasses. $40 down the tube. Best part was the guy handing me my regular card back and saying have a safe drive home. I thought it was gone for sure.

Ouch - that does suck. On the bright side, once you get glasses (or contacts) you'll wonder how you ever did without them, because they'll be a big improvement. I'm sure your insurance pays for that stuff, so go nuts and get something good.

Not enough... connecticare blows. $656 later I have a year of contacts and a pair of glasses. (the local place had a cancelation so I got in today ) I am going to cancel the frames though so it will come out to about $200. According to my mother there is a way to get UTC to pay for the glasses. So I am going to look in to that on monday.

I know, right? When I was a kid and needed to get my first pair of glasses, I was totally against it... until I got them, and realized how good things could be. That same year, my little league batting average skyrocketed!
