Trail ride
Really not trying to hijack, but the "Jeepers Creepers" videos in Choopers sig are bad-ass. Love 'em.
I'm planning on making this trail run if newbies in stock JKs are welcome. If I'd be a hinderance, or a liability, just let me know- won't be insulted.

So.. Sunday it is. Awsome. That is better for me as well. I'm brining my 4 year old with me. Leaving the baby with my parents. Someone should either change the poll or start another thread and close this one. You might find a couple other people that can make it. Shadowman ('05 TJ) drove up there in his Jeep. He's only got a mild maybe 2" lift and like 32" tires. Looks comparable to a stock 2 door JK. This trail is supposed to be tighter. So, if pinstriping bothers you that should be your only concern. If you get stuck... we can pull you through.
Jeb... what are you running for tires?

Also- I do have hooks. Not installed yet, but I just bought some. I'm not worried about striping, but am a little worried about bigger, more expensive damage if my jeep is up for the task. (I'm obviously a newb, so I'm not sure.)
yeah those are 30.5". It would be considered a 31. It is just shy of what a 31x10.50 would measure. I would say that at worst you might have some rock rash to the skids underneath. But, I haven't been on this trail yet. Just talked to some people that have. I used to wheel some pretty hard stuff with 31's on my old CJ7 and on my yota.
But, you could always score a set of used / larger/ more aggressive tires on ebay or craigslist or something. (I've seen between $200-$500 for a set) You can run up to a 285/75 16 on your stock wheels without a problem. You can go to a 305/70 16 if you run wheel spacers. A 265/75 16 would be about a 32". a 285/75 16 is a 33" the 305/70 16 is a 33" but wider (33x12.50)

Thanks... I have been checking out CL hoping to find something a little more aggressive that I can afford... ($500 isn't chump change for yours truly these days.)
I realy appreciate your feedback Texs.
