That's pretty much it. Just make sure you have the right type of tranny fluid. ATF+4

so what am i looking at here for work, just drop the old pan, inspect the inside, clean out the new pan bolt her up and then fill from the dipstick tube, didn't see another place to fill, so if there is some one please enlighten me.

Pretty much. Not much work, but it's messy work! Make sure you line the floor underneath pretty well (I forever ruined my parent's driveway replacing the ATF in my old explorer )

I'm wondering if it's necessary to replace the filter while you're under there and have the pan off. I mean, it's a brand new jeep, but since you have the pan off anyways... . And did the new pan come with a new gasket???

the manual says the filter should be changed at 20,000 something and im almost at 30,000. im gona go see how much a new tranny filter is when i get home on thursday, that and ill probably tie up all my other little lose ends that need fixin. the tranny pan just uses RTV which kinda sucks but what ever.

No i'm uploading each small video I took unedited. So there is a camera shake or something in it. You'll see them. I named them all 11-30 then the forum name and what # video it is. For example 11-30 MJS1, 11-30 MJS2, etc.... I'll post up the link in a bit. I'm uploading now.

Your better off with the RTV. The cork gaskets can absorb water through them.

I thought it was a rubber seal as I thought they did away with the cork gaskets a long time ago. I haven't had the need to pull this off so I'm not sure. RTV will work just make sure the surface is clean and wiped off so you connect to the metal.
