Default 1st jeep ever, 1st post ever....

What's up everybody?? Bought my first JEEP 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier! I bought an 09 6-speed black x soft top...actually learned to drive manual when i got it. Only mod so far is black 16" cragar soft 8's. Yeah, I'm still ridin' on those oldsmobile car tires. Do y'all think Goodyear Duratrac 285/75/16 tires would be good looking with no lift? no rubbing judging from the opinions of most on this site. I eventually want a 2-2.5 inch teraflex lift. That being said, would I STILL be happy with 285/75/16 tires? Unrelated, but I just took my top and doors of this morning for a cruise... just to put it all back on due to these "possible" thunderstorms that won't move the hell out of the dallas area! WELL WORTH IT Why am i just now discovering the sweetness of JEEP?!

welcome to you and your new jeep, 6sp is the only way to go. penny by penny you will be broke and enjoy spending it. my personal opinion is that if you are not into crazy wheeling a 21/2 lift will be great with 33" tires.
have fun.
