Hello form Lubbock TX.
Proud owner of a 2012 Auto 2-Door Black Rubicon. It was pretty stripped down for a Rubicon off the lot: Hard top only, sat radio (no navi), remote start, power doors/windows. It has 4.10 gears. It's my first jeep and I am so excited. I already signed up for a Jeep Jamboree ( 24th Palo Duro in Amarillo) on May 17-19. I used to wheel in my '93 Toyota 4x4, but it's been a long time.
I have already started adding mods. Its my DD, so my idea is to add things that I can use or need right away without spending money on things the Rubicon already has. That being said, mods thus far:
EVO Pro-Tek Skid System
Bestop Trek Top NX
48" Hi-lift with Hood Mount
Handheld CB radio w/ vehicle kit and external antenna
Tow hitch.
In the next month or two I'll be adding:
MOPAR steering and sway bar skid plate
Rough Country Front/Rear Diff Guards
1.5 Inch wheel spacers. (I want a wider stance)
Viair 400P Portable Compressor
Down the road a ways:
33 inch BFG KM2's (the other reason for the spacers)
Small lift or leveling kit
Rough Country Hybrid Winch Bumper w/ fogs
8000 to 9500 lbs winch with synthetic line.
I love this forum, great info. I already used Project-JK's write up to install my EVO skids.
Thanks folks,
Chris.
