Default Hey all!

I'm Joey and am planning on buying a JK Rubi within the next 3-4 months, depending on a few things. I spent about 8-9 years living in Alaska and working as a commercial fisherman/hunting guide/charter boat captain/whitewater river & fly fishing guide. We moved back to the midwest a few years ago and with any luck, we're either moving back to Alaska or central Pennsylvania within the next 6 months. I had the greatest 1977 CJ ever, but after years of abusing it, it died and I've been Jeepless for the past few years. I grew-up in a Jeep family and I'm dying to get a 4 door JK but we have to decide a few things before the Jeep is in the driveway. I've lurked for a while and have already learned a lot from the members on here and hope to learn a lot more.

Peace

Welcome to JK-Forum Joey. A little off topic, but have you ever been on "Deadliest Catch"?

I was a "technical advisor" since they asked me 1000 questions and paid me $10k before they ever started shooting that show, but you can hear my voice over the radio a couple times during the first season. I've never watched that show since I did it for a bunch of years. I don't miss commercial fishing at all.

Geeper, that's an awesome JK! I'm looking at doing a 4" lift, 35" tires, and then bumpers and that stuff right away. I'm sure I'll be asking newb questions in no time.

That's pretty cool I guess. It was a complete shot in the dark question.

I worked on the Arctic Rose...before it went down and 14 people on board died. Luckily, I "retired" before that happened.
