New to JK [and Forum]
New to Jeep and new to the forum. I actually got the Jeep back in January, so it's not THAT new anymore, but 4k miles later I'm finally getting around to posting on here - though admittedly I've been reading the forum regularly since last Fall. I must say, the sense of community in this forum is amazing... I suspect as more time passes I'll learn that it's not JUST this forum but it's the Jeep community as a whole. Either way I love it and I'm thrilled to be a part of it!
I, probably like most in the forum, grew up envious of the folks riding around with roof and doors off and finally made the plunge after the Acura service folks told me I needed a new clutch for my 110K-mile TSX. It was a horribly impractical decision - to buy a Jeep for my 30 mile Metro DC stop-and-go-commute daily driver, but I'm damn glad I did it, and yes, despite still being 100% stock took it off-road in the mountains in West Virginia (I'm amazed at how capable this thing is out of the box!)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Speaking of "the wave" [milehigh - I know this is not the wave to which you were referring] as previous threads have suggested I'm convinced it's dead, at least in northern VA. I've been waving like crazy but estimate my success rate thus far to be ~8%. Maybe I'll have better luck this weekend in NJ...
