This is my second Wrangler. First was a 97 TJ I got for stopping smoking nearly a year ago. Fell in love immediately, so did my wife. With the economy we decided to go ahead and get back down to one car for the time being so sold the TJ a week ago and traded in my other car for a new JK.
Love this ride... it's not without faults, but seriously I just don't get reviewers. Rides great, for a jeep or otherwise. Quite in the cabin (my TJ with a hard top was so loud you couln't talk, this you can whisper). Getting about 22mpg on the hwy, even with a bit of my foot in it, and the power is way better than that low geared and low HP I4 in the TJ I had. The Sunrider is brilliant too!
It's not without faults: Stock stereo is garbage (but knew that going in, got it on purpose); interior lighting is weak, no footwell lighting or ambient lighting where you need it; stock Wrangler AT tires are fine for the street and some snow, but don't really belong on a jeep IMHO; the rear compartment in the trunk could be deeper and larger all around and come with a lock/latch; the stock lights suck.
But half the fun is modding!
My goal this summer is to take it offroad and learn to wheel. It's my only ride so nothing too crazy. And to get back to 'nature' a bit and hit some camping and trails with the wife too.
