New From STL
Hello all,
From St. Louis, MO, I just bought my first Wrangler: a 2014 Sport Unlimited, and have fallin in love (photos attached).
As you can see, I bought the base model with the idea of customizing it (i.e. tube bumper, KC lights, big ass wheels, etc.) and I wanted to get everyone's opinion: when is the best time to buy jeep wheels/tires and accessories? Does it go on sale in the winter? Black Friday purchase?
Nice to meet everyone and I look forward to making an idiot of myself on-the-line.
Matt

Hello from the middle of the state! Northridge 4x4 has price matching and a 10% for forum members. Wheel it first so you know what you want to do to it. I would also suggest checking out The Midwest Jeepthing we have a run coming up at smorr Sept. 5-7. There is also a intro to offroading coming up the 18th of October.
Welcome to JK Forum and congrats on the new Jeep! Hopefully you meant to say big ass tires and not big ass wheels...
The vendors run specials from time to time. Sometimes it is manufacturer specific but often time it is a flat % off your purchase. Most also do free shipping.
Yes, they do some really good Black Friday deals too.

tae73 - will definitely check out the site. I am busy Sept. 5 - 7, but have heard of SMORR and want to check it out. I know they have trails that vary from easy to medium to hard, but I didn't know if my standard issue goodyear wrangler ST tires would even be good enough for the easy trails. Hopefully I will have the new tires on their before the next run.
OH9JK - ooooooh no, I definitely meant big ass wheels - 22" spinners is where its at. Ha, kidding. Thanks for the input related to your purchasing experience.
