Noobie Here
Hey guys,
Just joined to club. Picked up a Willy's Wheeler this week. First time having a Jeep and I'm sure I will have tons of questions. Just starting to poke around here, lots of info to go through though. Definitely looking to mod this thing, just gonna hold off a little till I can sell my previous vehicle.
First question: Is there anything, as a total new comer to the Wrangler, that I should be aware of that most new owners mess up or do wrong?
Second: What are some of the general websites you use for mods and accessories? I have no resources at this point so anything will be helpful.
Thanks guys, looking forward to using the knowledge on here to get this thing the way I want it down the road.

Welcome to the forum!
As for do's and don'ts, I'd say run what ya got for a while. Also join a local group (there are bunches out your way) and go wheeling with them. You'll get to see what those folks are running, what works best or not so good for them. You'll get a feel for how you want to wheel and then you can make informed decisions on what you need/want for your rig.
Places to purchase? Well, take a look at our sponsor section. Many will give you a discount based on being a JK-Forum member.
Mostly you need to get that rig out on some trails!

Low-cost / Free mods that should be done
This is a great thread to read through.
WAVE when you pass another Jeep. it's the law.
.
When you do mod and start purchasing accessories, make sure you do your research, and get what you really want.
Jeep parts are like everything else. Quality costs. Some items from some companies are half the cost of the same item produced by another company. Why is that? There is always a reason. More often than not it is quality.
Believe me, buying things twice sucks!
Leave it stock for a while and go see what she will do. I think you will be pretty surprised.
Happy Jeeping!

Thanks for the tips so far. I would like to do a small susp lift and 35's down the road, but will wait till I need tires so I'm not wasting value of the ones that came with it. I have found a few small appearance mods I'd like to do, antenna and gas cap cover for now, just cause I don't like the stock ones.
I have been thinking about a leveling kit to get rid of the front end sag. Thoughts on something like that?

Most new jeep owners think they have to throw a lift on and that it makes the jeep more capable off road. Many thing they need 37's to run down a dirt road. Many pick up the quadratec catalog and start ordering stuff.
Get out and drive it, join a jeep club, go on a jeep jamboree. Enjoy the jeep before dumping money into it. It will make you a better driver off road and you will determine what you actually need in terms of mods instead of getting 100 different answers on a forum.

I plan to once the weather is better here. Little too warm to get out there right now. I am not looking to go crazy with a lift or tires. But I also know I like the look of 35's and a small lift and will want to do it in the future.
