Default Picked up my JK. . . funny story!

I am challeneged when it comes to posting pics but I will give it a shot.

Before I do I have to tell everyone the story behind picking up my JK.
O.K. so I arrive @ the stealership and a older guy (60+) had just arrived to show off his 1993 Dodge Viper that he just got back from the paint shop after receiving a $9,000 paint job. It looked great! As he leaves he revved the engine and the mighty V10 let out a throaty growl. He pulls out of the stealership complex around a english-style roundabout and as the car straightens out he decides he will further impress us by-standers with another display of horsepower. He applied an obviously sufficient amount of pressure to the idiot pedal and the shiny red car lurched forward with an impressive display of power.

Unfortunately, the gentleman did not have the car as straight as he thought and as the car's rear tires broke loose and began to drift to the left I heard him yell "Oh shit' Oh Shit" the car jumped the curb jumping over 1-2 ft tall scrubs before shearing off an aluminum light pole which toppled within inches of a used Ford Mustang before pinning the brilliant driver against a tree.

As the astounded by-standers approached the car the driver is clearly in big trouble and seriously pinned in the car. Luckily, an alert by-stander had quickly dialed 911 upon the first "Oh Shit".

The driver was mumbling something about " Well . . . there goes #189" (Apparently, that was the 189th Dodge Viper ever built!

With the only thing seperating me from my new Deep Water Blue Pearl Jeep JK being 4 signatures, 7 initals, a call to the insurance co, and a hand shake; I pried my salesperson away from the excitement to seal the deal.

As I exit the show room one hour later with the keys to my new JK in hand I could hear nothing but the sounds of saws and tools feverishly working in an attempt to remove the gentleman from his freshly painted pile of horsepower.
To my surprise, and despite an hours work with the jaws of life the gentleman had not yet been removed from the Viper. I walked down near the now large crowd of on-lookers as the 4th fire dept arrived to assist the brilliant driver.

The pure excitement of the ownership of my new JK seperated me from the festivities and I quickly dropped the top on my shiny Unlimited, cranked my Infinity Seven speaker system to the tune of Disturbed and drove away with a smile.

Stay tuned for Deep water Blue Unltd Sahara and Viper around the tree pics.

Btw . . . for those of you thinking I am insensitive ... I am happy to report that the driver of the Viper only suffered a broken left leg just above the ankle. Which is actually quite amazing as it took over 2 hours and 4 fire departments to remove this guy from his 500 horsepower tree de-barkerer and light pole re-locator. At least it was his left ankle and not his right so he can continue to operate (Automatic only) idiot pedals.

What a great story. You made me smile. That in itself is a great accomplishment. You will remember the purchase of that JK for a long time.

Default The pics

I have never attempted to post pics . . . I am as inept at this as the viper owner was at impressing everyone with the cars power but I will give it a shot.

Can't find any Posts that lend any info can anyone instruct me on how to post pics? My pics are on my computer and my camera. Thanks!
