Soon-to-be owner from Virginia Beach...
I just wanted to properly introduce myself before posting on the board. I'm currently looking at '09 2-door 4wd Sahara Wranglers. This will be my first Jeep. I've been a Ford guy mostly and currently own a 2007 King Ranch F150 and 2004 Cobra convertible. Looking for a toy to play in the dirt, I guess.
I dropped SLC a quick e-mail about a 6.1L Hemi conversion and seriously thinking that route. I may even decide to do the conversion myself in the garage at home.
I've just been browsing the last few days and this board looks very informative. I'll be sure to post up pics of whatever I decide to purchase.

Thanks all for the friendly welcome. Yes, there are plenty of JK's (well, Jeeps in general) around my area. The beach community brings out convertible vehicles of all sorts.
I'll be heading to a couple of dealerships tomorrow night and do some test driving...can't wait! I doubt I'll be taking one home, though. I'm heading out of town Sunday for two weeks, so I'll probably purchase when I get back (damn Navy training).
Did some more research on the Hemi swap, and I was originally going to have SLC do the swap, but it looks fairly simple and straight forward with the AEV conversion kit. Plus, I think I found a good deal on a brand new 6.1L crate motor and A580 transmission. My Cobra probably won't enjoy taking a back seat to the new Jeep, hahaha.
Again, thanks for the welcomes!
