Default Yet another new Arkansan checking in

Hi all, I don't have a Jeep yet- in the process of finding one I can live with. Sure I'd love a 2013 JKUR, but the budget isn't that rich. Lots of great information here I see, glad I can be part of it. I'm looking for a JKU, debating on hard/soft top. I do have a family, and was looking at seating in the cargo area (little seats) as I have 2 in diapers and a 5 yr old. The back seat gets cramped with 2 car seats! (and i' know he'd love havin his own 'space') I almost got a really sweet 08 a few months back, but the wife...didn't appreciate it like I did but since then got the green light to shop/get one. Sadly that one is gone...so the search continues.

I live in Rogers, AR - I see we have quite a few members in the area!

Welcome! Glad to see another Arkansan here. I have 3 kids myself and I know what you mean about the back seat. Luckily I just have one that still needs a booster seat. Teraflex actually makes a bracket kit that allows you to add the back seat from a 2-door as a third row. Check it out...

Of course you lose your storage space.

It's kind of a long way down here, but there's been a green JKU with black hard top sitting in a strip mall parking lot for sale most weekends down here in Conway. They're asking $18,500, but I don't know what year it is or how many miles. I stopped to look at it a few weeks ago, and it looked to be in decent condition. No visible dents, scrapes or scratches. Looked to be a virgin too. No upgrades and no evidence of wheelin'.

Yep. I saw that Jeep yesterday. $18,500 seemed like a low price.

Well, scratch my previous comment. It's on Craigslist:

Thanks for the welcomes!

I have my eye on an 08 over in OK right now, 6MT, soft top with 42k miles. Doesn't appear to have any after market add-ons for 19k. The wife is complaining that it looks too plain but I can only blame myself-I've been looking at already pimped out rides. Her biggest concern with a soft top is that the kids will get too hot or too cold (with the top on). I don't think the heater will be a problem, and the AC should be adequate, right??

In the span of 24 hrs, see the one I was gonna go look at today sold...so the search continues.

Thanks for the links etc, I watched the video on youtube of the installation of that Terraflex mount- so easy a chick can do it! I'll have to find it again, I like the concept but think I want it rear facing...not sure if you can wiht that mount?? Homework I suppose. Going to look at another in the AM...wife likes it so should be good. I dont' think she knows how much it'll cost to make how I want it...shhhhh it was all I could do to convince her to let me trade in my Avalanche for one. Lovin the forums and how too's on here, A+!
