Rubicon Run
Back from the attempted meet up on the trail. Our two groups had some confusion and we were only able to meet up via CB. We had eaten lunch and been at buck for an hour when we heard the Michigan group was within site of buck island. That meant they were about 45 mins away. So we headed onward and made a day trip across the trail. With a reasonable pace and several stops we made it off the trail by 440 pm. No damage to my JK, but I did cross a group of four JK's on Cadillac, one of which had broken a wheel. I think it was an AEV beadlock. I hadn't seen one of them fail before.
It was a great day weather wise and another fun run across the rubicon. Oh, up top we still had snow and several water pits but none were too serious.
Sorry we missed the Michigan group.

Heading out on 19 July, will be at Loon Lake trail head in the evening.Anyone running the trail Wed thru Sat?My contact from Utah broke down,so looking for someone else running the trail, otherwise will put it off til next time
We ran the trail. Sorry we wasnt able to meet up with Brad, we was close enough to talk on the CB but oh could put a face to the name. We started later than we wanted, took us longer to get to Loon from South Lake. All in all it was a great run, really happy that we ran it all the way through, started at 10:30 and was off the trail about 6:30. We really like to do it again some day and start from the Tahoma side and run down to Loon.
