December 3rd Meet and greet trail run
My guess is we should pick one of those trails seeing as there will be snow which will add to the difficulty like you said. I don't think we will have enough time to do both unless we make this a 2 day event. I'll check out those trails. Thanks for your help.
Libby Flats is going to be a 5 if there is any snow. Does anybody have a problem with this? I am guessing there will be a foot or more of snow. Aside from a few rocky areas its mostly 2 track road. I am going to call the FS to see if they close down the roads in the winter.

Sorry guys about not getting back with the trail numbers. I have been up to Encampment MANY times to go offroading. Enough to definately not get lost. They are not tough trails at all but will be interesting with the snow. We also could go up around Allen Park which is closer to our meeting area. It takes about 90 minutes to get over to Encampment from Laramie. It takes 40 minutes to Allen Park from Laramie. I will work over the next week to get some better trail names and numbers.
From the Denver guy, the Encampment plan looks fine. I can still meet everyone in Laramie, and actually that works too, because I can cut down hwy 125/40 all the way to I-70 in Colorado and then on home.
You guys plan it and I'll try to be there. I'll try to round up a few more folks too. Getting guys from down here to do snow runs is tough because a lot of our trails here kill people and Jeeps when it starts snowing or they're just downright impassable no matter your setup. These trails look wide open and not too steep which is what is needed with heavy snow on the ground. I am not down with winching and digging all day.

Nope. Looks like Encampment is maybe 12 miles southwest of Libby Flats. No worries either way to me. I'm too far to plan this thing, I'll let ya'll mess with where we're going. Planning this from here is like trying to plan a BBQ in another neighborhood in a guys yard you've never met. I'll let you WY guys figure it out. I'll see what happens on location.
