Ok let's do Libby Flats. It's a little shorter than Arrastre Lake but its a little more difficult. Still meeting at Mcdonalds at 8am. I will call the FS tomorrow and make sure it will be open on Dec 3rd. Like you said we don't want to spend the day digging and winching. I will have a winch and kit, shovel, recovery strap and a set of tire chains as well as a high lift. I urge people to have at least have a shovel and a set of chains for the front and tow hooks. If you go to traildamage.com you can get a topo map of the area to print off. I may have a GPS as well with BLM maps. Any other questions we need to think about?

LOL. I thought about it and wondered if Greenie meant something about tree hugging Coloradians.....I only hug trees on Tuesdays. I'm not a native of CO, so not a full time hippie.

I doubt I'll bring mine, that much time in the Jeep and she starts emitting a high pitched whine and then I have to threaten to leave her in the wilderness to the bears.

Libby flats apparently shuts down right after elk season. It is a wintering ground for the elk. Elk season is almost over and that means it will be shut down by Dec 3rd. There are several hotels as you can imagine. The Holiday Inn is pretty new.

I sleep a day away and you all just got a plan. lol Happens when you work nights I guess. Due to snow a lot of the good trails will be closed. There will still be some roads that with the added snow it will be fun. a hotel for me will be out cause I dont have the funds and just live in Cheyenne. I have a winch and a hi lift jack. I will also be bring 2 shovels and a small folding shovel and my hatched. I am trying to get my hands on some good tow straps (all I have is a chain) and some tire chains. Just depends on funds over the next month. I still have a couple guys working on some trails near there that will be open. Sounds like we are going to have a good time. I think encampment could be fun it is just a little bit further away.

and one last thing, Greenie refers to the bright green license plate on colorado vehicles. but we wont hold it against you. I have family that moved to colorado.

even if all the good trails are closed I will be at the meeting spot at 8 am at least we can meet drive some of the back roads and have lunch.

Jeep its a way of life

Mine will be coming with. She will be the one bundled up like the brother on Christmas Story.
