Default PNWJeep Meet-n-Greet trail run - Saturday morning

for those going to Naches 9/7-9/9 for the PNWJeep event at Long Meadow, I thought I’d put feelers out there for organizing some trail runs. This thread is for Saturday morning.

I’m planning on hitting Clover Springs 4W697. At least the lower section, and hopefully there is time to get the upper section too. Though we’ll have to decide early, because I think it makes most sense to start with the upper section, so driving around NF-1600 to get to the west most part of 4W697.

I've never done this trail, so if anyone is familiar with it and has suggestions, that’s great. I was thinking leave camp around 9am. I want to get this trail done early so there is still plenty of time to get up to Moon Rocks and Funny Rocks by early afternoon. I’ll go up NF-7101 which is very close to where we’ll be.

***Final update***
OK, there have been a few folks signed up here and with me separately. We'll meet at 9am at the entrance of the Long Meadow campground.

FYI, the location is actually called Long Meadow. Longmire Meadow is a few miles north of Long Meadow.

The planned events are the BBQ on Saturday evening that we (PNWJeep) host for free, with the raffle afterwards. Sunday there may be a few runs but nothing organized.

We have donated a gift cert for $300 off a PR44 housing for the raffle.

I will be there leading a newbie run on Sat. We'll be going over the Naches Trail and later heading up to Funny rocks.

Meeting at the campsite pay station at 8:30, drivers meeting at 8:45 and leaving at 9. Stock or nearly stock rigs shouldn't have problems. The trip up to Funny Rocks is optional as we'll be going right by camp on our way back from the Naches Trail.

Thanks for hosting. Will you be in the JK or do you have something more exciting to wheel...... (not a trail cow anyway )

I'll be there thursday thru sunday. I don't plan on running the newb run as I just ran over naches trail last weekend. Running lower clover springs then upto funny rocks sounds a little more "entertaining."

I'll be doing a fast paced run up the Kaner and Rocky Saddle on Friday if you're up for it.

I will be in the 5.9 ZJ. The wife has said I am not allowed to wheel the JKU (yet, anyways).
