Default PORTLAND OR. AREA- Trail runners wanted!!!

OK, I figure if I start a thread just for days, dates, runs, etc we can get some offroad fun started. Anyone feel free to put in a time that would work for their schedule. Hopefully we can get to meet each other and have some fun this summer. I have Mondays and Tuesdays off I know I know, it's tuff knowing everyone most likely has weekends off but that's where I make my $$. Having said that, I can write my own schedule And I can always be off work by 1pm on sat. for a afternoon trail run

I'm really wanting to meet some JKR'S this summer and have fun. SOOOOO, start posting some dates and hopefully we can all meet up on the trails

I'm down for the afternoon this sat. 3-27-10 if anyone has ideas. Barlow trail on MT Hood still has some good snow to run

See ya all soon

I would like to meet some fellow JK'ers and get out and have some fun too! Really want to hit some trails for the first time, I am stock right now, but plan on slowly changing that over the coming months.

Weekends are the best for me.....hopefully some of the trails a stock JK/newbie driver can handle or at least attempt!

Jsears,

You can get a budget boost for super cheap. I would of sold ya my old Rancho one but someone just bought it this week. I'd go 2" to start And up to at least a 33" tire And if your Hankook's are in descent shape you can sell em on craigslist pretty quick. I sold 3 sets of tires in less than 10 days.

Anyway just my two cents. Look forward to meeting you.........

How about all JKs welcome type meeting at a local drive-in like Lou's in Milwaukie or a some pizza joint first?

After everyone gets a chance to meet and chat, it might be easier to schedule a trail run. I’d show up. I'd like to see a PDX area JK club start up. Being a small business owner I don't have the time or energy to get a club going.

A local meet I think would be a good first order of business! I'd love to see a local area PDX JK club as well. I was a member of the BMWCCA and I think having a local club for us JK owners would be just as awesome. I would be happy to help out in any capacity. I doubt I should be starting the club since I know nothing about: A) Jeeps B) Wheeling C) Starting a club.

But I went out this weekend for my first time. Got stuck in a mud bog and had to get winched out, and passenger side of the JK filled up with water! But I had a blast!

My two daughters often go Jeeping with me so kids are not only okay, they are encouraged to attend. I should be able to get free this Saturday afternoon for a half day run.

I may be interested in going up a little ahead for some earlier wheeling, and then tie in with later afternoon arrivals, as I would need to get back into town a little earlier. We could pick a rendezvous point for 2:30 or so?
