Smittybilt XRC Armor and "the fuzz"
Hey all. Some of you know my friend Jeremy. He is installing the Smitty XRC armor corners and fenders. As we install them we are seeing just how little of tire coverage they have. (We knew it was very little but with Spiderlocks there is almost no tire coverage.) He is wondering how much harrassment he is going to get from the police. He asked me to post on here to see if anyone else has these fenders and if they can chime in with any info or experience.
Disclaimer: This is for all the internet police. I understand Washington state law for tire coverage. I realize how illegal these are due to the coverage law. I understand that if you drive like a newb then you are more likely to get pulled over then a perfect driver. All that aside. Has anyone got pulled over just because of the fenders?
Thanks all.

Oh ya, user "sedwar13" posted these pics on a different thread.. It's his buddy's jeep. I'm not a fan of the copper but the owner of this jeep owns some copper company so it suits him.

That copper is hideous! I like the idea. The execution though leaves a lot to be desired.
Do you drive your jeep quite a bit? I assume SoCal cops would be just as picky as ours.
Thanks for your input.

It's my daily driver. I pass up a cop at least once every two days.. Each time I freak out and drive like a grandma (hoping they don't light me up). Ive been like this for two weeks now..

Hey man, time will tell. I used to drive doorless but with mirrors all the time and passed lots of cops. They never did anything. One time tho I drove through a road block where they were checking for seatbelts and they gave me a warning and made me put the doors back on.

Fingers crossed for you, cop needs to be having a bad day to bother pulling you up is the way i see it. But you never know, some areas are just better/worse than others for this sort of thing. Here in Australia you'de get done 4 sure. Thats why were all going the removable fender option down here.
