Visiting Seattle--advice on were to eat, go and see, etc
Not too far of a walk from Pike area and what I feel are a must check out:
The Flying Fish - I really like this place. Nice place, good food, $15-$30 a plate depending on the speciality of the fish.
Portage Bay Cafe - Huge portions which is weird since it is a health food restaurant. Unique flavors and the brunch portions could easily feed 2.

The Bistro at Pikes Place Market has good atmosphere for after dinner drinks.
Loads of good food downtown.

Fado pub is close to Pikes Place.
Wild Ginger has fantastic Thai.
Post Alley (one block east of Pikes Place) has lots of stuff, a great time and good music is always to be had at Kells Irish Pub.
El Gouchos.
Belltown has loads of stuff, but there has been some punk-ass violence after hours with so watch your back as the clubs close.
Daytime food, SoDo Deli (South-Downtown=SoDo) in south downtown has great sandwhiches.
Less formal in goergertown
Smarty Pants in Georgetown as well as 9Pound Hammer, Stellars, Calamity Janes and a few others on airport way 2 miles south of seattle

Oh tilts brought up another huge winner in the seafood realm, Sunday brunch at salty's is a great deal and great food. All you can stuff yourself with from dungeness to king crab, oyster shooters, peel and eat shrimp, the list goes on. Awesome food, call ahead for the Sunday brunch though it gets busy.
