It's day 3 here at Copper Mountain (rest day). Boarded the last two days and will ride the next two. The jeep is looking a little worse for wear after the 1000 mile trip up here though. Gonna hit a car wash in Denver on the way home.

Born & raised a skier (although my daughters have gone over to the dark side).

Jackson Hole is my favorite, but I spend more time skiing at Lutsen in northern Minnesota (just over 1,000 vert).

This is from the top of one peak with a great view of Lake Superior.

Love Jackson Hole, but I've never been there in Winter. Climbed Grand Teton 5 years ago or so. The Snake River Brewing Company downtown makes some good (and damn strong) beer. Ask them about the Discombobulator next time you go. (13%)

Hunter and Mtn Creek here. But usually take a few days off to go to Killington/Sugarbush/Pico, Vermont.

My favorite is SLC area for ease of access, snow quality and choices, but also like Jackson Hole and Whistler. Fortunate enough to be able to make a trek 3 or 4 times a season. With all due respect to the guys who frequent the PA ski areas, it just ain't even close.

Few photos from Kirkwood (south of tahoe). Started the season on a powder day, ended the season with lite dusting. May 30th, 2011. Caples lake still frozen over.

Expecting more snow this weekend June 4th. The endless winter...
