Default Rugged Ridge Mirror Relocators

Ok so I purchased these mirror relocators from quadratec online, did not see the info that one you cannot see out of the passenger side mirror when the doors are on, and two that they have this little plactic thing to go in because the mirrors were made originally for 07s. Now I have had my jeep for almost a year and have purchased products through out the year and will continue to do this, but with the purchase of these mirrors I am really debating ever purchasing anything from rugged ridge. They knew that you could not see out of the passenger mirror, but yet they still charge you 50 bucks for them. I know Jeep changed some things, but hey that happens on new models, so why not change your product? It would best benefit the Jeep community and most of the dealers claim that they are here for the love of the Jeep. Has anyone else ran into this problem and maybe did a mod to fix it since Rugged Ridge is still making money off of a product that is useless?

Same problem here. Rectified it by buying a 2" blind spot mirror from autozone and installing it on the passenger side jeep mirror. It does the trick...

Nothing new. It is a known issue, with threads on it going back several years, if you had been bothered to look. A quick search will bring them up, but...

Some people add a blindspot mirror, some have welded an extension on, some have gone to other relo brackets, and some (like me) leave the passenger mirror on the door - and run without a a mirror on that side when doors off.

If you are unhappy with them, ship em back.

I agree, just installed these last night. I knew about the passenger side mirror, so it doesn't bother me so much. But what really irks me is trying to get the mirrors tight or feeling secure in the bracket with that little garbage sleeve for newer JKs. It doesn't feel very tight, and you will strip it if you force it. I feel like if I go on the highway the mirror is going to come loose and fly off...Garbage design IMHO.

I thought you could at least see 1/2 of the passenger mirror w/ the RR reloc kit. Is this not true at all (or at least on the 2010's)?

Agree that a blind spot mirror should help...

Probably depends on how long your legs are. If you have the driver's seat adjusted as far back as it will go, you can see just over 1/3 of the mirror. If you're vertically challenged like me and have the seat adjusted forward, you're screwed...........

I just went through the same issues about 3-4 days ago. Today, I went ahead and returned my Rugged Ridge Relo brackets to the place I purchased them from.

They are down right UNSAFE to use. Like you said, the right side is COMPLETELY useless. Not only that, but they could have at least included a couple longer screws to attach the factory mirrors to the brackets, now I have a drivers side mirror with the first 1/4 of threads stripped. Had a longer screw been provided this would have never happened.

Luckily, when I reinstalled the mirror to the factory location they sit a little lower in the factory arm so the original screw tightens up just fine.

Just swap the passenger side from RR bracket to door when the doors are on and then back to RR bracket when the doors come off. Takes a minute to do.
