Default TreadWright?

Ok just read a good review on TreadWright Guard Dog M/T tires. http://www.off-road.com/jeep/review/...kly_newsletter
Any one else out there running on these? I'm looking at the 285/70/17 Warden A/T https://www.treadwright.com/p-51-285...den-a-t-d.aspx. Great price!
Love to hear feed back on either tire or feed back in general on these tires. Any bitch and moans? Any high fives and two thumbs up?
I like the price of the tires. I'm on a budget (like most I think out there are). How is tread life?
I'm 90% hardball and 10% on trails nothing extreme.

Also what is the difference between a M/T and A/T on the hardball? Would the A/T have better traction than the M/T? I like the aggressive look of the Guard Dog .
Thanks for your .02 cents.

I have never had them but I met a guy that did. He said they were good for the price and lasted a long time. He had them on a Chevy 1500. He said they pulled good in the mud. I don't know which ones he had but they looked like old school buckshots.

The threads above are definitely helpful - check 'em out.

I have the 285/70R17 Wardens, and my reason for getting them was originally budget-driven, but in the sense that I knew I'd want 35's eventually and didn't want to drop $1,200 on 33's. One thing to know is that in reality, they measure out to exactly 32" overall height. Not sure on the width. I personally really have liked the tires overall. Good grip on nearly everything. The one situation I found the tread to be lacking in was in slick slush/mud. The tread is dense enough that it simply packs with mud and becomes a slip n' slide in that situation. That is the one and only time where I was anything but happy with them.

I've scuffed and cut the sides a bit and taken a few chunks out of the tread from off-road use, and they've help up beautifully overall (no leaks, etc). I'm far from being an expert on tread compounds, but I've been very happy with the performance and wear. I'm at about 15-18K miles on them and I've religiously rotated them at every oil change (~3K miles). No cupping or other issues. They're no noisier than my stock Rubicon tires were as well, and handle fine on the highway.

All of that said though, if I'd known a bit more and been more patient at the time, I probably could've found some very low mileage GY or BFG 33's for around the same cost. In the 33" range, there is an abundance of regretful purchasers ready to take a bath on the resale when they move up to 35's Just something to think about...

Default TreadWright 315/70R17 GUARD DOG M/T

I went with the Guard Dogs, and thus far have only taken them on sand, but I have NO complaints with them. I've got about 12k on them, and at last check they are at about 15/32" tread depth, they start with 19/32". I chose them because I wanted to save a little cash, but I also didn't find any bad reviews to speak of. As of now, these are what I will go with when I need a new set as well.

I have the 285/70/17 Warden on my truck and liked them so much I just got my second pair in the mail last week. On my almost 7,000lb truck that I drive more like a sports car than truck they have been great. They've lasted a bit over 30K miles. Considering price, how I drive, and my lax rotating habits I am very happy with them. I, however, can't speak much for their offroad ability since that's what my Jeep is for.
