Default 33's vs. 35's

Sup guys my father and I are confused on the next mod for the Jeep. I was wondering what you guys would prefer

2.5" inch lift w/ 35's

33's with no lift but with aggresive tires and rims

We do moderate four wheeling nothing really that extreme would the 35's and the lift justify the extra money

Thanks

I'm gonna do 33's with the lift just to ensure full deflection and make the mall crawling a little more comfortable. I'll probably end up upgrading to 35's like everyone else.

I feel it depends on the type - 2 or 4 door. IMO, 33s are ok on a 2 door and unless stock, never run 33s or smaller on a 4 door. I believe 35s look great on both. That being said, I'm saving up my money for a lift with 35s - on my 2 door.

33's are okay but I'm going with 35's next time .... you will want 35's I have 15" wheels so they look bigger but 35's are sick!

everyone hates on the 4 door with 33's, but I'm the owner of an unlimited with 33's and a 4" lift. Has space that could be filled, I'll admit, but I'm in an X with the 3.21 gears and 2.73 tcase. If the 33's are any indication, the 35's would be really heavy, plus you can't crawl as slow without regearing. The advantage of my 4" lift, even though it's more than the tires need, I get plenty more breakover angle and bumper clearance without needing the 35's. When I have the money to regear, I'm probably going to put a d44 in the front and re-gear to 4.10s so that I'm more comfortable with 35's, but even then I'm probably going to keep the AT 33's I have for around town and put the 35's on some different wheels for when I head to the trails.

Nothing wrong with 33's on a 4 door just depends on the lift height, size of rims and even width of the tire adds a lot to the look.

I get many people thinking I have 35's on our unlimited JK. Only running 33x12.50 Cooper STT....and the size of tire I run is just awesome with the 3:73 gearing.
