Frank, why is it that you start talking about cool options to add on and all I think of is how bad my hangover will be the next morning?

PLEASE don't break my husband or his Jeep! Here lately, I am the one that suffers the side affects of his hangovers while he is fine.

I'm not up for breaking any Jeeps... But can't promise there won't be any human carnage after Rob/Frank/Keith get ahold of them!

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:

For those who want to stay with the "caravan" from So Cal, we've decided to go with round trip to Placerville or Pollock Pines (Pollock Pines is 15 miles closer to trail head) - - recommend Pollock Pines first choice and use Placerville as back up if the other sells out.

We will all meet up at same place (probably gas station) anyway before we head to the trail head so if you prefer one over the other, go for it. The plan is to drive early AM on the 7th to South Lake Tahoe (drive will be long and cold if you are sans doors). When we get off the trail on Friday we will be close to Pollock Pines and Placerville.

Plan on arriving no later than Sunday, July 6 one night. Back again Friday, July 11.

We'll have at least one hotel room we can split the cost of to store doors if you choose.

Looks like Placerville is "pet friendly" not sure about Pollock Pines. Pollock Pines has outside entry and Placerville does not.

Pollock Pines hotel
Pollock Pines Hotels | BEST WESTERN Stagecoach Inn | Apple Hill Hotels

Placerville Hotel
Placerville hotel | BEST WESTERN PLUS Placerville Inn | Placerville hotel

Rates are comparable at both. Best pricing is AAA or Military discount.

I'll have Frank copy this info to OP.

I have booked a room at Pollock Pines (rooms have outside entry so good for easy access to Jeep)
