Anza Borrego weekend camping run! Weekend FEB 11th.
How difficult is the trail? Rock rails needed? Potential for trail damage? Need some details. I'm at a slight handicap because ... my rear bumpstops are gone (the brackets are broken) and I don't have rock rails.
I'm 50/50 on going but would have to leave early on Saturday AM - have to be in Newport Beach at 9AM.

Its all good.
If feel your not ready for it go with your gut because only you know what your ready for. If its the same vid I saw, I think it was bad spotting(flopping hands in the air basicly), lack of experience, bad line, not being disconnected in the front and of course no seat belt. Just a lot of things done wrong on that one. If you do decide to go we would love to have you along and if not we hope to see out on one of the other runs.
yeah since there is no bypass, and i also heard that the squeeze is one way so i couldn't turn back once we got there. i would like to be able to see it before committing to it. i don't know if i have the experience for it, i've done last chance canyon twice, miller jeep trail, cleghorn and silverwood lake. ive had my jeep since august and that's all the off roading Ive ever done.
I am new to the group. Newbie Jeeper. I have been taken it easy. Been up to Gleghorn, Lytle Creek and Joshua Tree.
This trip looks like a lot of fun. I have two boys In Cub Scouts and the other x-boy scout. I know they would really enjoy it.
With not having all that much experiance I would like to do some research on the trail. If not able to join I look forward to becoming part of the group.

It would be great tom have you join us. Your boys can teach me how to pitch a tent and start a fire ( I always forget matches).
This trip is definitely doable for a noob. We would not put you in any situation that you could not handle.
