Carrizo Gorge adventure - SE San Diego County - March 21-23
What?
Don't leave home without it
If you need a ride to the trail head, I can take you...

"It's better to take it and not need it, then to need it and not take it"

If we're still caravanning, I hope to be on the road by 13:30-ish, that puts us at the campsite by about 17:00-ish

My route is 78 E >I-15 N > exit Gopher Canyon rd E > Old Castle Rd E > Valley Center rd N > 76 E (pass Palomar mtn.) > 79 N (Lake Henshaw) > S2 - San Felipe rd S > continue on S2 to campsite
We probably won't be out until early evening. Treeline is pretty long...ideal spot is at the very end of the tree line if there is no one there--please snag it. But if there is someone there, then about halfway up the treeline is good if you stay to the LEFT of the treeline, and we can spread out into the open desert area across from it.
Please note that rangers do come around periodically and I'm pretty sure they'll be around since we have a big group. They are pretty strict for some reason about dogs off leash so be aware of that -- and this goes without saying, but you need to keep the road clear.

We hope to be out there about 7 or 8 pm. For once I (Christine) is the one who might get stuck at work. We will have a 28 ft RV, if anyone wants to save us a spot, maybe near the campfire

We're still debating if we'll head out Friday night with the Motorhome+JK, or simply cruise out early Saturday to make a day trip of it. We gotta head home Saturday night in order for Lynn & girls to get ready for a horse show...
We'll see!
