Carrizo Gorge adventure - SE San Diego County - March 21-23
Gary, we'll definitely throw out some glow sticks, and I'll have my bright green LED whip on. We'll be camping right alongside the road, so there's no chance you'll drive by us.
What's happening Carolyn, I should arrive by 4pm
Still planning to bring the movie set up but will likely not bring the jeep, only RV. Hopefully someone will take me to the trail head?

Still not sure if we are coming up Friday night or Saturday morning. Depends on what time the wife gets home from work -- I have Friday off haha... It's about a 2-21/2 hour drive for us. But, wouldn't be the first time I've setup camp in the dark...
Add me to the list Bill! Just saw this! I've been dying to get out and camp lately. I was actually thinking about going to Joshua Tree this weekend but saw this so it should be perfect! I plan on getting there around 5pm Friday night, but will be leaving sometime Saturday since I have to work Sunday morning!
I will probably end up doing the hike but hope we can find some time to wheel a bit as well.
I'll keep checking Craigslist to see if I can come up on some firewood. I look forward to meeting some new Jeepers and seeing some familiar faces!
Nick

I probably won't be at the campsite till about 8pm, so it's likely a lot of you will arrive before me. Some folks joining us won't be in Jeeps, so help any drivers who look confused.
There's also a chance someone will already have claimed the treeline for their campsite. If that's the case, the first people who arrive should go a little further past the trees and claim some land for us. We're going to have up to 40 people, so we'll need a good amount of flat open space.
Lastly, bring firewood! And water! If you're going on the hike I strongly recommend a Camelbak or something similar.
See you all in a few days!

Please note that rangers do come around periodically and I'm pretty sure they'll be around since we have a big group. They are pretty strict for some reason about dogs off leash so be aware of that -- and this goes without saying, but you need to keep the road clear.
