Well, if you've ever eaten at the Ranch House Cafe, you might not be considering it now
Seriously, Cerro Gordo Rd. turns off in Keeler which is off of the 136 and the distance to it is about the same (+/- 8 miles difference) if you go up the 190 from Olancha or down from Lone Pine. And, considering that the food in Lone Pine is better, gas a bit cheaper and last minute provisions can be found here, I just figured this would be the better way to go.

Your right on this.
OK, my wife and I are in.
We will meet up with everyone in Lone Pine. Since we are unfortunately sans camping gear, we are going to peel off from the group at some point to head home. That may either be at Saline Valley road or near the end of the day at the Race Track.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

If it's Bushmill's you're bringing it's my spirit you need to worry about!
Team OffTopic is a definite for the trip!
driley, if you can pick up a cheap tent at Target, etc. and you can throw food in a cooler, I'm sure we've got enough to cover you the rest of the way - you can share our stove (last trip my stove quit and I "borrowed" from a few people) and between all of us you shouldn't lack for much of anything at all.

Hey Offtopic, would you still be interested in getting some breakfast on the way? I was thinking about some Breakfast Burritos that we could eat on the drive seeing how we're going to have to leave around 6:30. That would make for a very early breakfast.
