With the weekday traffic, I'll need to camp the night before if I want to be there at the BCOD.... but heck man, if work's not crazy I'll do it!

 

Is that the Silverado Fire Station?

I'll make a couple of calls tomorrow, and see if there is a place that serves a Buttcrack of dawn breakfast.

yea I was thinking start out in the morning prob arround 10 ? the wife gave me that look when I said early morning and there would be a 45 min drive to get there. dose meeting at 10 sound ok ??

it will be my wife, daughter (7 year old), dog, and myself...

and yea as for the trail I don't want something hard the main devide sounds like it's just right. it would suck to have a broken jeep 600 miles from home....

 

You did get it right. Our wives walk together so we always have to be on the same page so we can attack them as a team to get the approvals for the many trips we have gone on. Clackey, let me know if you need me to talk to my wife to talk to your wife to talk to you about going...huh? Sounds like we'll both be there. They'll be walking tonight, so we'll know then..........

 

Now this is sounding like my kind of trip! Who knows how long it will take me to get there. If you start at 10, I probably wouldn't have to camp.

I am sure once Eddie gets back from Moab, he will be joining us too. If our little ride isn't to boring from him coming off those big red boulders!

 

Main rd. Divide has 5 gates that I know of. 1. the top of Ortega Hwy. which is to the far East. 2 &3. there are two gates in Corona. 4. Silverado canyon to the south west. 5. a gate at the far west near the 241(only seen it on a mapnever been through it or seen it) Hey dhoffroad. Where are you gonna be coming from in the am. I think the best place to meet is at the fire station at the top of Ortega Hwy. Personally it is close for Edm95001 (Aaron) and I. I think it is also close for Rubimon to get there from the mall. If Eddie goes it is close for him too. Doojer I can get you a relatively traffic free route to get there in the am (against traffic) Woods? I think I remember seeing you say it was your back yard? It all depends on where dhoffroad is coming from. This is his trip so I think we want to make it as easy to get to the trail as possible. If we go in at the top of Ortega hwy. We can go to the top of Santiago peak and come out @ Silverado canyon. What do you guys think?

 

Damn, it's a good thing I might be moving to S. Cal in about a year. I swear, half of the forums members are in S. Cal. Then CLACKEY will have company at the BCOD while we wait for you guys to wake up.:toung:
