Did you do the front I'm assuming? I've heard the rear makes a big improvement too.

I've heard the same thing, I might bite the bullet and do the rear. I was waiting to see if I liked the front before I got the rear.. I'll keep my progress posted..

My $30 panel guards, I'm too cheap at this moment with some nasty wheeling coming up to put out for the poison spyder or other corner guards.

Grabbed some steel to do side armor to avoid any more damage from laying it over on the canyons and rocks. Going to weld tubes from front to back angled a little up the length of the plates and off them an inch or 2. That way it hits the rocks before the plate does as well as grabbed some aluminum for the door skins for the smittybilt tube doors.

All this to stop this lol

I wanna see how this turns out! I might just have to try it! What's the cost and time you've put in so far?

The steel for panels was $30 and I have nutserts and press here already so no $ there then $15 in tapered 1/4x20 1" bolts. I'll have a buddy grab scrap tube bend it and weld or for $30 for both sides. So overall $75 or so....they will hold up better than a panel only with the tube running the length of them.

The door skins are aluminum that was $50 for the 3 2'x4' panels and I'll weld tabs and Zeiss fasten those so I can quick remove them....

Haven't decided if I'm running clear over raw or powder coat black, if I plwdercoat black then I want zinc coated fasteners (goldish color)...

I'll update as I progress, tomorrow will be driver side panel then fitment of the tubes will be next week when nick is back from racing KOH.
