SoCal Camping?
look up big pine flats. its between arrowhead and big bear. youll have access to both john bull trail and dishpan springs. there are restrooms/ water but no shower. right now there are likely to be alot of spots avail. due to the closure of the fawn skin access from big bear. most people wont make the trek in threw arrowbear/ crab flats
No, Lytle creek and Gorman mid way between the floor and high desert but in the mountains, near the cities of Rancho Cucamunga and SanBernardino, not considered the desert. Not far from lake silverwood and lake arrowhead. then Lake Hemet is outside of Idyllwild, elevation 4300 feet, its snows there and its in the mountains. WHere did you get your facts.......

I guess I was speaking primarily of the temperatures and not the location, especially since the guy was asking about Big Bear locations.

WOW very generous. Can I email you a list of dates? Maybe we can trade Big Bear cabin for motor home and Jk combo.

Its been a while since I've been up there
but here it goes... on the other side of the lake (big bear) there is a town called "Fawn skin"
if you turn away from the lake and head up the mountain past the fire station there are a few good camping sites up there. Unfortunately its not as primitave as it seems most people on here would like not a yellow post! good location to drive down to the lake for fishing and close to a lot of the trails.
