Every day in the Jeep is an adventure, you make the best out of what ya got.. Now I can say I was crawling around under a Jeep with a mysterious problem in a gas station parking lot! The worst was the H2 that drove by... All I can say is, at least it didn't happen on the trail!

Got a call from the service rap at Midway saying the skid plates covering my fuel tank are crushed and my fuel tank is crunched and there is no fuel pressure... felt like he was preparing me for a "warranty wont cover it" conversation. We didn't even get to go off road, i haven't been off road in over a month and the Jeep has been running fine.. that was really weird. After thinking about it a little bit i remembered that both me and Merlin75 crawled under the Jeep yesterday and saw nothing was crushed.

Luckily for me i live and work a mile away from the dealership.. i was there with in minutes and demanded to see what he was talking about. We went over to the jeep which was not even on a lift and he pointed out a couple of skuffs on the skid plate, nothing was crushed.

Now i'm waiting for them to lift it and remove the skid plate which will be later today or tomorrow morning.

Did they actually say it wouldn't be covered because you "abused" it or something? it's TRAIL RATED... that's insane... And right, we both were under your Jeep and there was seriously NOTHING damaged that I saw, the only obvious giveaway that you'd been off road were the twigs jammed up between the tub and frame in a few spots, bot definitely no damage or dents to the skid plates or fuel tank!

Yup that was a bummer that day... but - just called for status and they removed the skid place only to see there are spacers between the skid plate to the gas tank so the gas tank is undamaged. This discovery was after they called yesterday and said the skid plate AND gas tank were CRUSHED. So much for a heads up.

Now their computer is down so its on hold to be tested, they are speculating it might a power supply module that feeds power into the fuel pump or the computer module that controls it.

5 month old Jeep... not sure how these parts go bad so quickly...

Well... finally got a call with some answers... i have a faulty TIPM - Totally Integrated Power Module, its back ordered and they hope to have one in within a day or two.. i was offered a free rental but wont need it this time. He wasn't sure if those are back ordered because they are faulty all across the board or just not a shelved item. This is the 3rd electrical issue i am having within 5 month of owning the Jeep and 2nd time i actually had to tow it in. Hmmm....

Should start taking bets on how long it actually takes them to fix it...

Glad they isolated the issue and I have heard of that failing...
Hope they get it in and fixed up for ya quickly so we can go back out and actually get off road!
