Nice...are you going to try the...is it 91 or 93 tune? I can't remember what Jpop said it offers...

I am coming home this weekend to

B) See my fam.

C) get my gears installed next week!!! (sssssshhhhh)

Damon, who wired your winch? If you did, was it difficult?

My new Expedition One front bumper and SuperWinch with synthetic line should be in Mondayish. Also got a skidplate to cover the disconnect motor. Supposedly you are supposed to rotate the motor upward. Hope it isn't too difficult. My Jeep has been much nicer to drive after the flashpaq. Like Damon said.... not really in a bunch of power increase but smoother and not so laggy. I've never hooked up a winch either. REALLY wishing I had yanked out my Optima YellowTop I had put in my TJ two months earlier before selling it.

Also ordered a HiLift Jack carrier that bolts on to my rear. Will probably get the HiLift Extreme this time to match the Jeep. Another regret in letting my red one go with the TJ! Trying to decide if I will keep my jack on there all the time or just when wheeling. Don't want to be accused of looking like a poser.

What do you guys think? Leave on or take off? (had to edit the original sentence from jack on or jack off?)

hey guys been out of town for a couple of days. I am running the 89 octane right now I might go with higher octane but not sure if the gains are gonna be worth the extra cost. I did not hook my winch up, but I have helped hook one up before and it was pretty easy. Doc, I would consider taking it off for daily drivin just due to the fact that it will become another rattlin device. I hate having something rattle all the time.

Doc, I installed my shrockworks front mid width bumper and winch Saturday. It was really easy once I sat down and focused.

The only thing I was a little concerned with was the synthetic line. There were no instructions on how to install it. I don't have the instruction sheet in front of me, but it said something like..."unwind winch cable and observe how it's attached to winch. Install new line."

WTF? Okay...what if it doesn't come with any line on it?

But I figured it out...

So a slight delay in gear installation...They will be installed next Tuesday (9/8) and Wednesday. I am getting pretty excited....

Fedex just dropped off my front bumper, skid plate and winch!!!

That's good news about the Jeep club! I'm like you on changing from the 87 tune. I'm really happy with the drive now and just can't think that the cost of fuel would be worth trying. And if I REALLY liked the higher octanes much better then I would be stuck with it. It would be hard to dial it back knowing how much better it could be!

I'm getting G2 5:13 gears. Forum member Bruised set up a lifetime no questions asked warranty on gears and my winch...so I thought if they don't hold up like some other big name brand, they will be replaced for free.

ARB front and rear diff covers going on with gears.

My Pure Jeep rear bumper w/tire carrier will be here tomorrow!!!

Default installed

Just finished my install of my new Expedition One front bumper with custom modified fog light holes for PIAA crystal Ion fogs, disconnector skid plate (with repositioned disconnector motor) SuperWinch with Viking synthetic line with billet safety thimble and Optima YellowTop battery. Whew! Don't know what's more drained.... me or my AMEX!

I'm really wanting the wireless kit for the winch now but that will definitely have to wait. My first mod will have to be gasoline. The cheap Walmart 87 octane crappy gas with 3 cent discount card at that.

Default rusty stuff

When I was under the Jeep I noticed how much stuff is rusty under there and that bugs the crap out of me! Couldn't they slap a bit of paint over the bare metal?!
After I can afford gas again, I may get some Por-15 and go to brushing under there. That stuff is great at not only covering and prevent more rust but stopping the rust that is already there. I'm kinda considering some Duplicolor or VHT extreme high-temp paint and doing the exhaust pipe and muffler before they turn to rust as well.
