JK Junkie, I am 97% sure I will be going. I will have a definite answer early next week. We can meet up and head that way if you like.

Default Look who's going!

So here is the updated list, hope it's correct!

08{GA}Rubicon - Corey 770-864-3354 (c)
07JKX - Jarrod
dpost82 - DJ
Red08JK - Steve
JK-Rubi - Gary
Denny2565 - Dennis
gl00mer - ??
TINMAN 2469 - Mike - still thinking about it
JK Junkie ?? - Still thinking about it

Looks like this is turning into a decent get together.

Now to start the planning.

Where is a good place to meet near the offroad park?
Is anyone camping?
Post your cell phone # if you don't mind others seeing it!
We will start out on CB channel #1 (change it later if we need to)
Who wants to lead our group on these trails, anyone have experience here?(If not, I'll do it!)

FYI, the Southeast Offroad group is planning to have an organized dinner on Saturday, if you plan to attend send me a PM for more information! We will be hitting the trails at 9am central time! I'd like for us to meet up prior to that and show them what a bunch of JK's look like in formation!

Hmm, that's a tough one. I'm not sure there is a really "good" place to meet. Just two lane roads getting to the park, and I'm sure we'll be coming from different directions.

Is anyone camping?

I think I'm just going for the day.

We will start out on CB channel #1 (change it later if we need to).

Just a curiosity question - I know we used Ch1 at Tellico and it worked fine, but don't most CBs tend to perform better at channels near the center of the bandwidth (i.e., like Ch19, which is why I think truckers prefer this channel)?

I vote Tony. But if he doesn't make it, I can start us out.

Whew. Another early morning for me, and the other Huntsville folks. It's a little over 2 hours driving for us.

Ive never been there so Ill be following Rubi.
Recommend channel 20 to start off so we can hit the middle of where folks should be performing. will allow longer range for the majority of the group till we all get linked up, then recommend a switch if needed.
Rubi, where do you want to meet the HUntsville crowd for the drive down?

Were you referring to me? If so, thanks. I'd be happy to bring you all around, but I will not be making this trip. You guys will have a blast. Don't get too worried about getting lost or getting yourself into trouble, everything loops back around and trails are marked and the loops are not difficult. At the entrace you can play in the rock garden or the mud pits. There's so much to do there.

Catch you then next trip Tony. You're right about there being a lot to do at Mountainside. I have this pic of Denny2565 in action (well his daughter) finishing the rock garden, and heading for the mud pits.

Rubi
Think about whre you want the Huntsville/Madison folks to meet you saturday morning for the road trip down to meet up with Corey. And what time of course.
Did you get all the mud off of your jeep? Got mine dirty twice more today and had to wash it again. Push bar should arrive for my bumper Monday so Ill have that on by Saturday.
Also want to see about stopping at Rusty's Offroad since we will be down that direction. Probably on the way back or may run over there during the day if nobody else is interested in checking them out. I need some a billet aluminum 1" body lift.
