Default Guntersville Here

I just moved back to Guntersville. 11 years AF Firefighter. Just got my JK 3 weeks ago. Got it lifted the day after buying it. 2.5 Skyjacker. Looking for other families to wheel with. Let me know.

Steve

Birmingham here...near Trussville to be exact. New to the JK, had a Liberty for a year that I "handed down" to my wife when I got the JK. Looking forward to getting back into wheelin' on the weekends....it's been a while since I've had something worth getting dirty!

I live between Dothan & Enterprise off Hwy 84. Just got my JK 8/24/07. I was a little impatient, and didn't want to wait to order one, so I took what was on the lot...the only 4-door Sahara...a 2 wheel drive! Anybody else here have a 4x2? If so, is it okay for off-roading, or should I just keep it on the pavement?? I love my JK, but I wish mine was a 4x4. Any thoughts??

Thanks,
tidegrad

It's not often you find someone else from that area....I was born in E'prise, alot of my family still live there (been there for years) and my Dad was living in Dothan before he passed away so I know the area pretty good. 2wd is still good for playing around off road, just don't get somewhere you can't get out of (deep mud, steep and rutted out hills, etc.)...unless you've got a buddy with 4wd who can yank you out of a mess if you need it. Congrats on the new JK, and next time I come down that way maybe we can meet up and go wheelin'

Thanks for the info JK-KJ. How long ago did you live here? I grew up in Dothan, but moved away after high school (grad '92 from N'view) for college/work. Just moved back to the area a year & a half ago to help out with my g'mother in Level Plains. My sister still lives in Dothan, but the rest of my family lives in Enterprise.

My youngest brother (half-bro) is in high school at E-prise & goes muddin' all of the time. I thought about having him show me some of his favorite places (he has a 4x4 truck), but I didn't want to get caught somewhere & break something. Let me know if you're ever down here. I work in B'ham sometimes, but always have to use a rntl to get there. I'm heading that way tomorrow. I've seen some places on this forum around B'ham & maybe one weekend I'll head that way to check 'em out. Thanks!

Ask your brother if he knows a Lindsey or Kyle Ethridge. (cousins, go to EHS) I haven't lived there since I was a little kid (26 now), but I used to spend the summers with my grandparents and my dad...and my wife and I go down every few months to visit.

My brother knows everybody. I called over to his house & he's not there, but I'll let you know what he says. Know any Faulks in E'prise?
