Well actually, the planning started last Saturday for MDodson and myself, although it was spur of the moment for some.

Taylor - realize this is an old pic, but just wondering if it's somewhere local?

Default Gray Rock?

Thanks for the response.

On another note, GA guys PM'ed me re Gray Rock. I told them that, from what I've heard lately, it has become a park mostly for very modified rigs. From your experience, is that correct, or could someone drive around on it all day with say, a couple inches of lift and 35s?

Default Mudding

All of us were required to eventually drive through some puddles in order to exit the gulch, but Monty elected to do a little extra curricula mudding just for grins.

He charges and escapes from the first hole.

That was so easy he backs up, and hits it again.

He does a 180, and jumps into the mud hole right next to the one he's just conquered, but it was a little "stickier" than its adjacent brother. Whoops.

Close up of the sludge. Two member's JKs can be seen safely cowering in the distance.

After the rescue. Monty steps out to hear the accolades of the crowd (well at least from most of the crowd).

Recovery Vehicle ready to roll having completed yet another trail rescue. In the foreground, one can see the mire Monty was extracted from.

Nice narrating! Too bad we don't have any pics of me breaking the sway-bar link... what you have to say about that?

Sorry, can't be everywhere with the camera. I do have this one of you leading everyone up the waterfall to start our adventure, but it's one out of that blurry group of pics I ended up with - best one I've got (hopefully the others have better pics at this spot).

Default Where did we go?

Best I can tell, we thought we were headed down the Blue Arrow Trail, but didn't realize otherwise until we had reached the gravel road up on top of the ridge (we all realized something was not quite right earlier, but were already so committed to the route, we continued on - and I still expected to pop out somewhere different than where we did). I think we made a wrong turn back at the "wood pile"/dilapidated tin shack area. After not finding the trail immediately past that area, we doubled back about 20-30 yards, and headed back across the creek and up the valley along the Yellow Arrow Trail. My hypothesis is that the Blue Arrow Trail was back at the shack, and was a sharper left than what we were expecting.

I'm going to go back and check out the Blue Arrow Trail again - maybe try to come in from the other side.
