Yes the flashpaq is worth it, you can check mine out if you go on the ride. Winch or no winch we will have everyone covered. We won't leave anyone behind or complain about you getting stuck.

If a winch is not used then it is a wasted day!

I like the attitude, i also like the sound of 4+ trails, Gary, I am sure that some of the spots we ended up on at Windrock were 4+ trails, if I remember correctly I lost a fender on one, gas tank skid took a beating on another, these jeeps are tough.

And don't forget, that 4+ Windrock trail (T39) was the last nail in the coffin for Matt's front lockers. Something I'm sure Matt wasn't to excited about.

You have me thinking now. We need to organize a winch crew, equipped with gloves, good boots, stamina, and a "Can Do" attitude to drag our winch lines up and down the slope of the mountain, set up the snatch blocks, hook and unhook shackles, hug the trees with "saver" straps, and to snap photos.

Default Skyline was interesting!!

I didn't realize how buried I was!!

That's over 6" of total lift and chopped fenders and I still managed to stuff a 35" in there

MY HF winch is as strong as can be, you just can't be in a hurry to get out of a tight spot.

From the side, you could hardly see your front fender well. Non-chopped fenders would have been plugged up.
You check for water leakage along the door sills yet (not sure if you're still running with carpets, but they could be wet)?

Default Next Skyline Ride Jan 30-31

Here's the link for the upcoming ride just in case no one has seen it yet in The South thread ---> https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/south-49/trail-ride-jan-30-31-skyline-wma-alabama-113931/

A few more Skyline Pics from our recon:

Bottom approach of Rocky Trail (4+ Rating) - looks easy enough, doesn't it?

Poser shot in solid rock creek bed.

Jason's new avatar.

Poor Wilbur - end of the ride, and all muddy. This is the kind where you have to hold the pressure washer a few inches away from the surface in order to knock it off the Jeep.

WOW it does get dirty. How would the 4+ trails compare to the last trip to Bear Hollow? Of course I have something that draws me towards mudholes where winches have to be used.
