Nope, sticking with the single battery for now.

Here's a pic of where the Heep is currently.

Waiting for a few parts to come in the mail.................

Some goodies came in

Transmission cooler
Superchips Flashpak
Black Rock Viper 900 17" wheels
Trailmaster 5" lift kit

Going to be installing the lift when I can take a couple of days off in the next week or two. In the meantime, I'm trying to decide what meats to install. I still can't decide between 35s and 37s, and I'm still stuck on what tire to get. What tires do you guys recommend, and will it be OK with my wife driving it?

Micah

I'll help ya Randy. Steve went with G2 5.13s, but I'm going to try 4.88s mainly because I'm having a tough time finding 4.56s. The 4.88s will give me back what I had factory plus some, which will allow for a larger tire size should I ever go that route.

Congrats Micah! You'll be the fourth 5" Trail Master kit in our area (that I'm aware of) so shout out to these guys if you've got questions. If you bribe them right, they may even offer to help turn a wrench.

If you're already thinking 37s, then that's what you should probably go with as you may soon be second guessing yourself if you don't. As for choices, many people are very happy with their Goodyear Kevlar MTRs or BFG KM2s.

Default Oil Level

I like that you have the hammer close by just in case you need to give it a few whacks just on principle.

Edit: Seeing that engine bay all apart made me think about my oil level, so just ran out to the garage and checked - right where it should be at the top of the level indicator.

Hopefully Wilbur isn't one of the JKs that burns oil. I filled him with Mobil 1 synthetic 6000 miles ago.

and whoever asked about setting up gears, I've done one set in my mustang, but I got really lucky. Everything turned out perfect the first time I put it together.

Default Hurray for the Rain

Drat - two days of cycling . . . two days of getting totally drenched by these afternoon pop-up thunderstorms.

Can't complain too loudly though, we definitely need the rain - plus made me feel like a kid again riding through the water puddles.

Frankie, see how much more "fun" this was than if I'd simply said pedal.
