It also occurred to me, as far as when to have it, we should shoot for after tax day. I figure people can use their tax refund to help fund the trip (I know I would), not to mention I'd like for my brother to accompany me and he works for a CPA firm and wouldn't be able to go until after tax day anyway.

JK Fest is used by other groups. Come up with ideas and remember The South, Sunshine State and East Coast groups are all part of it.

Here are a couple to get it started.

"JK Madness 2009"

"09 Southeast JK Invasion"
Yeah, but we pronounce it differently . . . "JaaaKaaay Fesss".

True, and the potential to win some really cool free shit from a sponsor raffle is always an attraction.

Man we could make this thing just as big and involved as we want to

wow! first voter; I must've timed that just right.

I figure May is a good time since any post tax refund items should be in and installed for folks, plus it should be fairly warm, but not *hot* like the summers.

Durhamtown gets my vote. Night riding, lodges, campsites, pro shop, RV park, shooting range, fishing, gas, ATV/MX trails, food, alcohol is permitted, mud wrestling and 8,000 acres of woods with trails that any Jeep can handle.

However, if it rains within 10 days of the event, we will all look like this:

We need to check with Sunoco, Shell and Citgo to see if they will sponsor us so we all get free gas... Of course Taco Bell would not quite produce the same effect

We have a poll for when to have it now let's get one up for where. We can vote for both and get the ball rolling.

Looks like Windrock, Tellico and Durhamntown are the most popular locations that will fit the needs of what we are looking to do! Are there any other locations that need to be considered?
