What CB did you decide to go with? Coal Creek is cool with me, means I get an extra hour or so of sleep this time

Cobra 29. Getting it fairly cheap and it is small enough to put in the center console (I think that is where I want it).

Good choice, kinda wish I would of gone with a 25 or 29 instead of the 19. Will more than likely upgrade sooner or later

I am getting it for $40.00. I will still need to get an antenna, coax, and maybe a speaker if I don't just run it through my headunit.

Just hope it works!

I live near coal creek (aka Windrock). This place is awesome. Its 72,000 acre ohv area with a full blown camp ground and local stuff within a few miles drive. The trails are marked pretty well and a main gravel road the intersect most of the main trails. Just gotta make sure no large atv/bike rides or jamboree's are going on. It can get slammed there quick.

One noteable mention about windrock, although its very much worth it, is the cost.
$17 per day per person gets costly. Although u can purchase multi-day passes to save a few bucks.
2 day pass= 33
3 day pass= 44
Ect.

I grew up in mid tn and have been to wooly's, which is fairly small compared to windrock and lbl(turkeybay).

LBL (turkeybay) is great too. Great place to wheel, camp, fish, ect. I'd say lbl is a little more tame, in comparison to windrock, but still one of my favorites.

Turkey Bay OHV Area website Just found this website. The video at the bottom I recorded about 2 1/2 years ago. Had no idea they where using it. Pretty Awesome!

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and new to Tennessee as well but not so new to Jeeps. I just hit Windrock today for the first time with the wife and kids. It was pretty cool but I had to stay on the intermediate trails since I had the kids along and we were alone. I'm in West knoxville and only about 20 minutes away from there so if you guys head this way definately let me know.

As far as the Cobra 19 goes, I had 2 and don't recommend them to anyone. The first one went bad in about a year, could receive but couldn't get out, bought a new on to replace it and it had the same problem outta the box. Thought I was crazy so took it to a reputable CB shop back in Denver and he said that was pretty typical of that radio. He tested my power, ground and antenna for free and then told me about the Uniden 510 and 520 was about the best compact CB. I know he wasn't just trying to sell me a new CB because he he didn't carry them since he mostly catered to truckers then told me a couple of places to look online for one. Have had it for several months now and it works great.

JKChad - want to be the unofficial tour guide on 10/1? I know many of us haven't been there. It would be nice to have someone with knowledge of the place
