Looking to hear how the wind deflector works. Has anyone got one yet. Took the freedom top off and ..........."WTF"

Love the rack but the rig's mileage dropped as significantly as the noise increased with speed. With Freedom top on its no big deal but if you remove the panels wind noise is quite loud. The noise is ok driving in the neighborhood but taxing on the highway. Certainly not enough to kill the deal but I will stay covered ( Why have a Jeep?) till I get "your" product evaluations on the wind deflectors. I have the sunroof rack also so I may remove it and have a "listen"

Are the wind deflector's shipping without a long wait?

All excellent questions! I'm sure many who are considering this rack have the same thoughts.

I installed the wind deflector over the weekend. My initial impression is that it does in fact reduce wind noise, most notably by stopping the annoying buffeting of the soft top at highway speed. You can still hear a kind of constant rushing noise around the lights and light bar, but it is not very loud and not nearly as annoying in my opinion.

I have not run it with the top back, so it's a little hard for me to speculate on how it would affect noise in that case.

I installed mine (received it in about two weeks) this week and it seems a bit more quiet but the weather has turned cold in MD and I haven't run with the freedom top off since I put the wind guard up. The few nice days we did have when I took the top off, it was very shocking how loud the wind noise was. Of course I've got four lights up there so I'm not sure how much good it will do having the wind guard.

I've had mine installed for almost a week now. 2 Long road trips down now I can honestly say the deflector makes a good bit of difference. I'm an audio nerd and can pretty accurately estimate a drop of about 10-15db of noise. I have a soft top so it's an even better relief to me.

Easy to install, have someone around to help hold everything in place. Use blue loctite on the hardware as the nuts are not lock-nuts.
