This is a high quality rack that is well engineered. They use lock nuts on all the fasteners and there are not many pieces that look alike and have you scratching your head. I put it together by myself in about 1.5 hours. The only help you will need is to place the large rack on the top. You also could use some help in placing the windshield surround, but I covered the hood with furniture pads as not to scratch it and was able to install it on my own. I would give it 2 out of five on the difficulty scale and only because of the weight. If you can turn a wrench, you can install it.
Oh, and absolutely no drilling!

It's a pretty easy install, very well designed. Having help to lift the basket is a plus.

I don't have enough posts to put an item on sale in these forums , and I don't know if I'm allowed in this thread, but I'm selling the Hi-Lift jack accessory mount for this rack. It is still in the sealed box. Please look it up on eBay if you want it. It retails for 179 and my reserve is well below that.

Okay I'm about to bite the bullet on this rack but have a concern regarding an aftermarket license plate bracke I have. Is this going to work with the Gobi rack?

http://www.quadratec.com/products/12526_1011.htm

Here's some pictures with measurements.

Thanks in advance.

Hope this helps. I threw one in gratuitously so you know what it looks like

Thanks a bunch for the pictures. I think I should be good. I just checked the height because I was conerned about the pivot point but my bracket actually sits lower than the OEM.

Thanks again.

Does anyone on here have an Eezi-Awn RTT mounted to their Gobi rack? Does it attach ok?

The pivot may not be an issue, but look out for the support and sticker below the pivot.

I think I should be good with that too. The top of my bracked is 6.5".
